Buster
I saw Conroy's winsome face posted on Petfinder.org in early April 2005. The people at the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society answered all my questions -- the most important, "When can I come and pick up this handsome boy?" It was a long two weeks and, although I could not believe that no one came to claim him, I was so happy to meet him. Conroy, as he was named then, was neutered the day before I met him (thank you!) and was very sweet.
I forgot the name of the nice young man who told me the story of how Conroy was found, but it was something to the effect of he was running across the street from this guy's house! Lucky for Buster, this nice person worked at MHHS and brought Buster in the next morning.
Buster and I took a walk out back. It was love at first sight. He was such a happy boy! Fast forward almost two years...Buster is the joy of my life! He has gained about five pounds and lives the good life. He now lives in Northern California with two other dogs and spends his days playing, snoring and sunbathing. He is truly the sweetest little gentleman! He makes me smile and laugh and has given me so much joy, just by being himself.
It fills me with gratitude to think what kind people took care of him and gave him a second chance at life, when he was alone and abandoned. Buster is also thankful and spends each day giving back so much fun, love and happiness.
I'd like to thank the kind people who work with the animals at the MHHS and thank them for saving my Buster and bringing him into my life. Bless you and keep up the wonderful work!
