Chester

Hi! In July I went to MHHS in search of a young adult cat. I checked out all the qualifiers (short hair, not black, preferably tuxedo) but none met my specs. What was I thinking, a custom designed cat? My friend kept steering me back to a certain cage: Chester. But he had long hair. And he was too young. He certainly wasn't a tuxedo. And those weird blue eyes. "Just take him to the meeting room," my friend said. Fifteen minutes later I announced that Chester had a new home.

His favorite place to rest is anywhere on the floor, stretched out to his full length, which is considerable. His fur feels like silk, his paws are huge (check the picture), his ears make me think of Yoda and his whiskers are five inches long! What's not to love?!

His favorite toy is Otis LeMew's tail (black cat in photo). Otis is very tolerant, but sometimes has to let the youngster know "enough's enough."

I'm so glad I went to MHHS that day. I doubt very much if Chester would have been there the next day. All of my cats have been rescues in one way or another and I'm very glad your shelter provides care for the animals, and provides animals for those who want furry companions.
