Just wanted to write a quick note to you at Mohawk Hudson Humane Society!

We adopted Ruby in late December 2010. Well, we paid for the adoption, but it was really our other shelter dog, Dexter, that picked her out. We had planned on looking for a dog that was over 50 pounds (because Dexter is 93 pounds) and we also wanted a dog that was over a year old. Dexter wanted nothing to do with the dogs we brought out. Instead, he fell in love with the 7-month-old, 35-pound little Ruby, whom we've renamed Codie. It was love at first sight! The transition process was easier than I could've imagined; she is a very quick learner! I really can't explain how much we appreciate everything that your shelter did for us during the adoption process. We couldn't be happier with our experience and the outcome.

I'm enclosing a couple pictures of Dexter and Codie. Dex is the brown monster, and Codie is the tiny black and white one with the hoodie. :)
