Cole and Shadow

We adopted Shadow (you knew her as Shontel) from MHHS last August when she wasn't quite four months old. I'm an animal lover to the core and thought we needed an addition to our family of two. My husband wasn't sure about cats, but he thought we'd give a kitten a try since our apartment doesn't allow dogs. Well, Shadow stole our hearts immediately with her little meows and her extra toes (she's got 25!) reaching through the bars of her cage. We took her home that day, and she was so excited! She explored the whole appartment fearlessly. She had so much energy, and she would play constantly.

After a few months, though, we could see that she was bored and lonely during the day when we were working, so back we went to try to find her a buddy. That was when we met our boy Cole (then Poptart). He is the sweetest boy you'd ever want to meet! He'll curl up on anybody's lap and purr like a little motor. Shadow took a few days to get used to the new interloper in her space, but now the two of them are buddies, and they play together and keep each other company just like we'd hoped. They are both the most adorable, funny, and sweet kitties!
