Expresso

Expresso came into our lives on 4/6/06. My girlfriend adopted a black kitty in January and I instantly became attached. I decided to get a kitty myself. Expresso was named for his loud purr reminiscent of an espresso machine at the shelter. However, we chose to spell it with an X, because he is hyper and swift and so is like an express train. He was a special-needs cat because he had been attacked by a dog and had to have all of the fur on his hind shaved off for stitches. In May, the cut reopened and he again had to have it shaved off. Then in September, due to sensitive skin, he scratched some fur out. Finally in October, Expresso grew in his thick full coat!!

Expresso has filled our lives with so much joy. He is so sensitive and at the same time such a character. He runs to the door to greet you and his full face always makes us smile. Thank you, Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, for this special kitty!!
