Heidi
Hi, there!
It's Heidi (I think you called me Cami) sending a warm, fuzzy hug to the staff and temporary boarders at the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society.
The last 12 months since my adoption have been a whirlwind of fun, excitement, travel and, most of all, love. I started out taking a dog obedience class with Mom. Bill was a great instructor, especially when he slipped me a little cheese treat. I tried an agility class, too. Sometimes I got a little goofy but I really LOVED running through tunnels and trying the teeter-totter.
My family took me to Acadia National Park in Maine. I decided salt water doesn't taste too good but the seagulls looked interesting! I sent you my picture postcard photo.
My most favorite place to be is at camp in the Adirondacks. I have a big beanbag bed and I spend a lot of my time hiking. I was afraid of water at first but now I'm a pro at hopping streams or barreling through the mud. Can't wait for more snow. I love porch sitting (a great Adirondack pastime) and watching deer, coyotes, red squirrels and turkeys (I've only seen one bear) or relaxing in front of the woodstove when it's cold.
At home I go for walks two times a day and visit all my favorite doggies in the neighborhood, especially the Corgis next door. I love my stuffed animals but sometimes I get a little rough with them and Mom needs to get out the needle and thread and do a little repair.
Life is good! Thanks for giving me a chance to find a loving home...doggie dreams do come true. My family tells me every day how lucky they were to find me. You guys are awesome.
Love,
Heidi
