JoJo

We had to put our almost 13-year-old cat Pumpkin to sleep a few days ago as he became really ill. In his memory we donated 13 bags of his favorite treats. I had seen little Hickory on the website that morning as I was on there copying a link to post on my Facebook page so other friends could donate in Pumpkin's memory. A very sweet lady who helped us had Hickory in her arms, coincidentally. It was love at first sight and I've probably taken well over 100 pics of him already just between yesterday and today (not to mention some super funny/adorable video clips).

I had adopted Pumpkin from the Menands shelter when he was only two years old. He was such a sweetheart! I'm going to miss him terribly, but I have to say having Hickory (we re-named him JoJo) has made the pain a little easier. We had been contemplating adopting another cat for a while now, it must have been meant to be. <3

Included are photos of baby JoJo on our way home and at home last night when he met his big brothers Tigger and Flash, who are very protective over him against one another. If Tigger gets too close, Flash will hiss at Tigger and smack him in the head-- more playfully than being mean, but it's a quick boop-boop-boop on the head. Same with Tigger. We're keeping an eye on the little guy around the house,especially around our other two for now as he likes to dart and attack his brothers' tails. :)
