Kismet
Hi, everyone! I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know how I'm doing since my adoption. You knew me as Dotty when I lived with you, but my name has been changed to Kismet. That's a Turkish word which translates to "fate" because Mom says fate is what brought us together at the pet store. Mom was there to buy some new fish for the aquarium -- I find that to be a fascinating piece of furniture! -- and she came over to see those of us who were at Petco that day. As soon as I saw her I started talking to her and reaching for her through the glass and we both knew we should be together -- fate!
I love my new home. I have lots of room to run around and more toys than I know what to do with. Mom and Dad are both retired so there's always someone home to play with me, too. I'm not allowed outside, but I have lots of great windows with wide sills for sunning and napping and watching the world. I also have my own bed with an afghan Mom made for me. I like my bed, but to tell you the truth, I usually jump up on the big bed and curl up right next to Mom at night. No one seems to mind.
My vet says I'm in excellent health. I'm all done with my shots and I've even gained one pound since I came to live here a month ago. I'm one very happy kitten!
