Mittens

In December 2008, my boyfriend and I went to MHHS with the intention of finding a cat we would take home. We slowly walked around, looking for that "perfect one," but to our dismay, none caught our attention. Just as we were about to leave, a wonderful volunteer asked if we needed help and opened a cage that contained four 2-month old kittens. (We thought the cage was empty since they were all hiding!) The volunteer pulled out the most gorgeous kitten we had ever seen. Bright blue eyes and a spunky personality -- we were hooked. Within 10 minutes he was on his way to his new home.

Alonso (now renamed Mittens) is now 7 months old and is enjoying his new life. We have 3 parakeets that he loves to pick on (and believe me, the parakeets pick on him as well), enjoys looking out the window and playing fetch. (Yes, a cat that plays fetch... he's an odd one!)

We have sent three pictures - two when we first got him and one taken this week. As you can see, he has certainly grown!

To the volunteer that showed him to us and to MHHS, thank you so much. He is a delight and we love him dearly.
