Ninja Kat
I just wanted to drop a line on the cat I adopted on June 18, 2009. I first saw her at the shelter on the 17th; her name was Cyber. With her loud Burmese yowl, she made her presence known. I talked to her but went to look at the other cats as well. I went home and I kept thinking about her. The next day I went back to the shelter to adopt her. When I got there I took her into the play room and got to know her better. I felt she was coming down with something but I took her home. I renamed her Ninja Kat.
Her first weekend was touch and go; she had come down with an upper respiratory infection from the stress of being in the shelter. It was good I had adopted her so she would not expose the other cats to the infection. At first due to her illness and general fear of all the changes in her life, she would go around growling and complaining about everything. Burmese can be quite vocal when upset. I'm attaching a picture of her after she started to get better on July 4th, followed by another of the incomparable Ninja Kat now!
She is so happy and only complains when I do not play enough with her. She comes when called and is a very loving cat. Her "sister" cat, Pumpkin, still isn't sure what to make of her, but they get along as long as Ninja Kat stays off Pumpkin's furniture.
She has just come in to tell me to get off the computer and play with her right now. Mouthy little thing is that Ninja Kat, but I wouldn't have her any other way.
