Sadie

My husband Tim and I adopted Sadie (formerly Delaney) in February of 2011. We hadn't planned on getting a dog, but while Tim was "just looking" on MHHS's website, Sadie's picture appeared on screen. I fell instantly in love with her and told Tim we had to go and see this dog.

When we got to MHHS, we were told it would be a two-hour wait to see her since they were short-staffed and there were many people ahead of us. The wait, though, was well worth it. When they brought Sadie out, both Tim and I knew this was the dog for us.

It took Sadie a few days to adjust to her new surroundings. Within a week, she was wagging her tail and happily greeting everyone she came in contact with. Sadie loves to run and play, but at the end of the day she likes nothing more than to snuggle with us on the couch.

Tim and I can't remember what life was like before we had our Sadie girl. We never knew you could love a dog as much as we love her. Adopting Sadie was one of the best decisions we have ever made.
