Smokey Joe

After our 13-year-old dog, Ginger, died on June 1, 2008, I told my husband I didn't want any more dogs. A month later I found myself looking at animal rescue sites online. I noticed an 11-year-old dog, Smokey Joe, who was in a foster home and looking for a family to love. I told my husband I wanted to go see him.

In mid-July we brought Smokey Joe home to live with us. He gets along great with our 5 cats, and loves our 13-year-old grandson. I hope the lady who had to put him up for adoption will know he now has a very happy, loving home for the rest of his life.
