Sophie

I've been looking for a tabby cat for a long time, and was recently looking for a buddy for my 18-year-old kitty who'd recently lost her playmate. I found Indus (now Sophie) at the Latham PetSmart after seeing her online and knew immediately that I'd found our kitty.

Sophie is an absolute lovebug. She purrs loud enough to be heard in the next room, eats like a lumberjack, insists on being involved in every activity in the house and will steal a sandwich off a plate in the blink of an eye.

Taffy (our 18-year-old cat) has accepted her new housemate and is tolerable of the shared attention, except when Sophie is pouncing on her during her "crazy times." Those crazy times happen a few times a day, followed by recharging naps. She loves her new kitty condo and in the couple of weeks since it arrived, she's grown enough to reach the top with barely a pause between levels. Sophie supervises the morning bathroom routine - sitting on the counter between my husband and me, or sometimes curled up in the sink. She already has developed the habit of using her scratching post and not the furniture. She naps on one of the empty dining room chairs during meals and enjoys lounging in front of the fire.

This little kitty has made herself right at home and has won our hearts a million times over. Thank you for such a darling kitty.
