Tiny & Garie

I am a foster parent for MHHS and this little group of kittens was very special to us. They arrived in our home on 6/1/09 (on my daughter's birthday) when they were only four weeks old. Each time I fostered it became harder and harder not to want to adopt one of these little bundles, until this group. The shelter named our little black kitten Tiny Tim and with good reason. He is the tiniest little thing, and that is the name he kept! The tiger one's name was Tigress, but for whatever reason our youngest daughter comes up these crazy names and Tigress became Garie! So here we are with these two new little additions to our family and what a joy they are. They come running when we call them and are so happy to be home with us.

We have two other male cats, one of which we adopted from MHHS seven years ago who is very spoiled. The other I took off the hands of someone who was about to just let him go play out on a very busy road when he was about 12 weeks old.

About a week has passed since we adopted Tiny and Garie and everyone seems to be adjusting nicely. A few hisses here and there, but all seem to be getting along!

I have attached pictures of Tiny and Garie eyeing up some other family members (Crayola and Zebra), our two parakeets; Smokey, our seven-year-old; and our orange and white five-year-old kitty, Spunkey, which was taken in April 2008 when he broke his leg (all better now!).
