Zeus and Shadow
Dear Mohawk Humane Society,
We in the Douglas household are happy to report that all has gone quite well since we adopted our two boy cats. Zeus (formerly known as Yang) and Shadow (formerly BoBo) are both happy and healthy youngsters. Both were adopted from the Latham PetSmart adoption center. We were the family that came in Friday and saw Yang, then back the next day tracking down BoBo from your website.
Zeus is the more independent of the two. He will lay on our laps for about two minutes, then have to reconfigure or leave to go play. He is becoming the leader and Shadow the follower.
My husband almost lost an English muffin to the boys one morning. He had left it on top of his briefcase sitting on the floor. Zeus sniffed it out and Shadow helped him get it out of the paper towel it was wrapped in before we caught them.
Shadow is the lover of the house. He is happy to sit on any lap to be cuddled, but also chews on things around the house like a puppy. Our two boys, Conner and Collin, have the duty of feeding and cat pans every morning. It has gone very well and both sets of boys love each other very much. Our two older cats, Maddy and Lindsey, are still not excited about an additional two cats, but are dealing with it -- normal hissing and low growls to warn the boys away from their space.
We are very grateful we were talked into getting both cats instead of just one. We have raved to everyone who'll listen how wonderful an experience we have had. We hope our kudos have sent more customers your way. You do an exceptional job as well as an important one.
Zeus and Shadow will be well cared for and have a good life with us.
Kind regards, Erika, Chuck, Conner and Collin
